A viable project can still struggle to secure funding if the business, project, risks, use of funds and execution plan are not presented clearly.

This service is for contractors, developers, project owners, engineering companies and SMMEs that require funding for a project, working capital, equipment, materials or business growth.
It is also relevant for businesses that have previously approached a funder but were declined because the information was incomplete, unclear or did not provide enough comfort around execution and repayment.

Funders need to understand more than the amount being requested. They need to understand the business, the project, the use of funds, the risks, the repayment logic, the security position and the people responsible for delivery.
A properly structured funding pack helps bring that information together in a way that is easier to assess.

Depending on the requirement, AfriGrowth may prepare an executive summary, business overview, project overview, funding requirement, use-of-funds schedule, project economics, repayment logic, security summary, contractor capability, programme, risk analysis and supporting-document schedule.
The pack is prepared around the specific requirement rather than copied from a generic template.

The client must provide the business, financial and project information required for a proper review.
This may include company documents, CIPC records, tax information, CSD or CIDB details, financial statements, management accounts, bank information where required, project contracts, BOQs, programmes, client information, supplier information, security information and details of any previous funding applications.

The client receives a structured funding pack, an information-gap list, a risk and mitigation review, a funder-facing explanation of the opportunity and a supporting-document schedule.
Where agreed, AfriGrowth may also assist with submitting the pack to relevant funders and responding to additional questions.

AfriGrowth does not guarantee funding approval. The final funding or investment decision remains with the relevant funder.
AfriGrowth’s role is to improve the quality, structure, transparency and readiness of the submission and the business behind it.

The purpose is to make the opportunity easier for a funder to understand. The funder should be able to see what the project is, why funding is required, how the funds will be used, how the project will be delivered and how the major risks will be managed.

If you have a live project or business funding requirement, submit the details and AfriGrowth will assess the appropriate next step.
